Who's Who

Fiona is a recent high school graduate from upstate New York. She has participated in four years of The Fall Festival of Shakespeare with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox MA, including the productions of Romeo and Juliet (Juliet) and As You Like It (Celia). She has trained for three years with Shakespeare and Young Company’s Spring session, as well as with Riotous Youth. Her love of acting began early. She spent summers from age 3-15 acting in and eventually directing productions in the attic of her barn.

Chris first appeared on the Pittsfield stage as Captain Hook in the second grade. Since then he has appeared in countless shows in Martha’s Vineyard and Boston. Favorite Shakespearean roles include Macbeth, Cassio, Aguecheek and all the female roles in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged. Chris was a founding member of WIMP Comedy Improv Troupe, performing for twelve seasons on the Vineyard. He was also teacher and co-creator of IMP All Things Theatre summer camp. Chris was awarded the IRNE Best Supporting Actor Award for his portrayal of Shane in Take Me Out for Speakeasy Stage Company.

Lily is a local actor, and arts administrator. Lily holds a BA in Theatre and Arts Management from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) and has trained extensively with Shakespeare & Company. Credits include Riggs Theatre 37: The Winter’s Tale (Perdita). S&Co: Private Lives (Louise),  Julius Caesar, Shakespeare & zompany’s 2013 Conservatory (Calpurnia, Cinna, Messala). MCLA (select): Hedda Gabler (Hedda), Hamlet (Ophelia), As You Like it (Celia), Titus Andronicus (Lavinia), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Co-director).  Lily is also a member of the Nickel Shakespeare Girls, an all female street-performance troupe. She is beyond thrilled to be a part of this amazing project. 

Eugene Lang College: Policeman (Marathon Dancing); Riggs Theatre 37: Koryholis (Lysistrata), Don Pedro (Much Ado About Nothing), Azdak (The Caucasian Chalk Circle), Malvolio (12th Night).  Bob is a theatre student at the Eugene Lang College in NYC, and is excited to be back in the Berkshires. I’m just happy to be here!

Miles Harrison moved to MA after three seasons with Island Shakespeare Festival, an outdoor Shakespeare Company  in WA, and has pursued professional training at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. The caliber of the training left Miles truly altered and the approach to the text resonates with him deeply. Miles considers himself blessed to be able to play with the cast and crew of Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park in its exciting production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 

Travis is a 4th grader at Capeless elementary school. He will be taking part in the Kids Act program through Barrington stage in the summer. He plays travel soccer with the pittsfield soccer club and plays drums for his band at school. In in spare time he loves to read and ride his bike. He is very excited to be part of this production.

Dylan is amped to be a part of Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park! While originally hailing from Pittsfield, Dylan is a sophomore at Salem State University in Salem, MA pursuing a BFA in Theater. Favorite past roles include Prince Hal (Henry IV part 1), Stine (City of Angels), Jack (Into the Woods), Sloane (Entertaining Mr. Sloane) and Baby John (West Side Story.) Dylan would like to thank Enrico for giving him such a wonderful opportunity, his family and friends for always being there, and to the cast and crew of this production, which he hopes you will all enjoy!

Fiona is ready to take the stage by storm in Shakespeare in the Park. A big fan of both the Bard and Broadway, she plays piano and flute and dances through life in both ballet and jazz. When she grows up, she wants to be the first-ever mathematician actress who also writes poetry. She loves fantasy novels, Emily Dickinson, singing and soccer and enjoys imaging in being in the cast of Matilda.

Nora is thrilled to be appearing in the debut production of Shakespeare in the Park. She previously appeared as Beatrice in the LMMHS sixth-grade production of Much Ado About Nothing, plays the clarinet for The Jazz Five at LMMHS, and has participated in numerous Berkshire Theater Group community shows. When she’s not reciting Shakespeare, she enjoys horseback riding, soccer, piano, and singing so loudly that the neighbors can hear her. Her interests include Doctor Who, British accents, and art.

Zoe will be attending Miss Halls School in the fall, where she hopes to study drama and creative writing.  She’s been active in the theater since birth, attending Shakespeare & Company’s Riotous Youth program since she six years old. She lives in Lenox with her two dogs, two parents, and surprisingly un-annoying younger brother.

Julius is thrilled to be working with his fellow cast members with Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park. Originally from Pittsfield, Julius has spent the past year with the Grumbling Gryphon’s Traveling Children’s theatre company performing shows based on African tales, Greek myths and environmental themes. Some of Julius’ other credits include Sailor (Thirst: A Staged Reading), Flying Nun (Spamelot), Henry (Finian’s Rainbow), Chino (West Side Story). Julius would like to thank Enrico for this amazing opportunity and his friends and family for the endless love and support!

Gail Ryan worked in New York, Los Angeles, theatre, TV, and film. Many years were spent traveling and performing in Jean Erdman’s The Coach With the Six Insides from James Joyce’s Finnegan’s Wake. The production traveled the world and received many awards. She counts Joyce, Jean Erdman and Jean’s husband Joseph Campbell as mentors. In 1989 Gail purchased an inn in the Berkshires and produced Sunday Night Storytelling and Dinner appearing in Love Letters, Dear Liar, 84 Charing Cross Road, A Child’s Christmas in Wales and Capote’s A Christmas Memory. She has worked with Mixed Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Miniature Theatre of Chester; Castle Hill Theatre Company, Shakespeare & Company, The Mount and the Whitney Center for the Arts. Gail is delighted to be part of Pittsfield’s first outdoor community Shakespearean production right here in her hometown.

MFA in Acting from MSU.  Renée is thrilled to take part in this inaugural production of Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park.  Summertime, youth frolicking with Shakespeare and a resignation to be upstaged by the cutest dog in the world… what could be better?

Alexia Trainor has been a part of the local theatre scene in the Berkshires for the past 20 years. She has directed and acted in numerous productions. Recently she was acted in a staged reading of local playwright Jane Smith’s, Death by Chocolate. Favorite roles include, Lady Enid/Nicodemus in The Mystery of Irma Vep,  Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream  and Dora in The Swan. She is a founding member and artistic director of Main Street Stage and the Royal Berkshire Improv Troupe(RBIT). Currently she works at Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter School as the 21st Century After School Site and Program Coordinator.

Elliot was last seen in Pine Cobble School’s kindergarten play as Bellimer. This summer he will be participating in Barrington Stage’s Kids Act! He loves Legos, Pokemon and Minecraft. He is very excited about being part of this production.
